This is the second time that we dined in Ila Puti but when we went there for the first time, we forgot to bring a camera.  We used our phone cameras so take pictures but when we saw the output, we felt that a place as good as Ila Puti deserves an equally good picture quality.  Hence, we went there again for a second helping of their food.

Geus ordered Stroganov again.  He loved it the first time he tasted it and obviously he couldn't get enough of it.  According to Ila Puti's artistic menu, Stroganov is made of tenderloin tips in thick sour cream sauce with garlic and chive fried rice.  The restaurant is true to its word.  The tenderloin tips were indeed tender and the thick sour cream sauce was indeed thick.  However, I do not think they are using chive in their fried rice.  I think it was just spring onion that they used to top the dish.  But I am not complaining since I can't really tell the taste of chives from spring onion anyway.

I decided to be a little bit brave about my order so I got myself Nonihm Thai – bagoong fried rice with tenderloin tips.  I love this dish!  The bagoong fried rice was cooked just right – it was not oily and it was not dry either.  I loved how they placed just the right amount of bagoong (shrimp paste) and how they mixed in tidbits of green mango.  It made the dish truly special.  The scrambled egg they placed on top just made the dish perfect.

Just based on the picture you'd see how they put extra effort to make the dishes pleasing to the eyes as well.  The only down side to their dishes is I think the viand is not enough.  Or maybe it's just me wanting to have more.  I also think that their blended Strawberry drink is just made of Kool Aid and lots of ice.  They could do better if they improve their drinks list.

But all in all, the food satisfied our eyes, our tongues, and our stomachs.

AMBIENCE/SERVICE:
Since the place is located near call centers, expect that there will always be English-speaking people surrounding you.  But I don't mind since the people who were dining at the same time we were there were not rowdy at all.

Be warned though that you would have to go to the counter to place your order so don't wait for the waitresses to approach you.

The place is painted blue which is one the things that first caught my attention.  It is seldom that you would find restaurants painted with a dark color but I guess Ila Puti wanted to be different and to stand out hence the dark-colored paint.  

The lamps made the place a little bit romantic so this place will also be nice for a first date with your someone special.
